The handshake

The Breaker's strip primes the plated brain for ~1.5s. An Executioner strike landed inside that window cashes it — the brain breaks open, big damage. Miss the window and the brain fires an unblockable cascade punish instead. Break both brains within a couple seconds of each other for a true stagger — the whole boss goes helpless. At 50% core HP the plating swaps sides — trade targets.
